Stress

 

Stress is known to have deleterious effects on health and well-being. The Managing Stress handout uses a cognitive behavioral approach to managing stress and anxiety by encouraging patients to identify the controllability of the stressors in their lives (controllable vs. uncontrollable) and then match those stressors with appropriate coping strategies (problem-focused approaches vs. emotion-focused approaches). In addition, the handout offers other tips for coping with stress.
